Beach Day!

Kathryn really wanted to get to the beach as much as possible while she was here. I took these pictures on one of the days when it happened to be 80 degrees! She has now gone back to Vermont to 13 degree weather, and she wishes she could bask in the sun one more time!

Isaac's masterpiece!

Okay let me explain this picture...Ezra's diaper had gotten wet and as he was walking around, the diaper was rubbing on the inside of his legs and it was really bothering him. So I took off the diaper and tucked his onesie "tail" up because it was dragging behind him. We were laughing so hard because his little buns are so cute!

Elijah's volcano!

Kathryn took this picture of Elijah chasing after the seagulls. They kept trying to take our lunch! But look at that form! What a runner!

Grandpa and Ezra going to take a look at the water...

They both really wanted to play in it but when they touched it they realized that it was cold and they only went that far!

Our Hike

We went on a beautiful hike about a 10 minute drive from our house. It was wonderful and a lot of fun. The ocean is in the background, I'm not sure why it is showing up white in this picture!

Ah, there's the ocean behind us! Here is Kathryn and I on the ridge looking at the sunset.

We were rushing to get back to the car before it got dark, here are the boys starting to make their way back down!

There was a tractor near where we parked the car and all of the little boys automatically climbed in. Just think, in a few years they will not all be able to fit there!

COUSINS!

We took these pictures at Christmas of the three boys
Ezra, Braddock and Joshua

Here are the dads of these cute boys!
And the mommies with their boys!

Isaac turned Five!!!

I cannot believe that Isaac has turned 5! These five years have gone by way too fast, I wish that I could go back and hold him one more time as a 1-minute old wet baby! He has had the sweetest disposition since the moment he entered into this life. I thank God that I have the priviledge of being his mommy.

His party this year was really low key. But we celebrated ALL day and did everything that he wanted to do. He insisted on doing three things...First: eat lunch at New Frontiers (our local health food store) second:ride his bike, and third: have blueberry pancakes for dinner!
Oh, and he also wanted a chocolate "car" cake!!!

Temple

Our Temple Day
Okay, so some of these pictures are from before Christmas, but I haven't had a "moment" to upload some of these photos...Sorry!
So, right before Christmas we went to the LA Temple and we had a great time.
While I was in the temple, Scott took the boys to a nearby playground.
Here is Isaac posing with the temple behind him.

Momma and her boys...I love walking around the temple grounds with them, it's so peaceful.
Daddy and his boys! Scott didn't like that I made him sit on this tiny curb, what a good sport!

Sweet Ezra playing...he had so much fun at this little playground

The nativity scene at the temple was beautiful. Elijah and Isaac immediately ran under the ropes so they could see it "up-close" and I caught them right before they touched baby Jesus. I snapped this picture right when they came out from under the rope. I love how Isaac is looking up at Elijah.

A New Bed!!!
Ezra graduated from his co-sleeper to his toddler bed! He was so excited to lay in it when we first set it up, but has yet to sleep in it! He loves to snuggle with his mommy all night instead!

Thanksgiving Week!!!
We had the greatest Thanksgiving vacation. We stayed home and Scott's parents came to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We had a busy and fun week....
First, Isaac had his Thanksgiving Feast at his preschool, here he is as a very cute pilgram!

Daddy and his Pilgram Isaac

Mommy, Pilgram Isaac and Ezra watching Isaac eat his "feast". Isaac ate everything but the Jello, he said that it looked like plastic! (Maybe because I have "brainwashed" him about processed food! Ha Ha Ha!)
In California we don't get many chances to wear sweaters, and having three boys, I rarely get them to match in anything! Everyone kept saying how handsome they look!

We had so much fun with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Susan. They are very fun and easy to be with. The boys especially loved having them around!

Grandma Susan wanted so bad to hold Ezra but, as you can tell from other posts, his "personal space" is very large and there is only room in it for him, mommy and occasionally daddy. So after about a couple days Susan was able to "steal" him away to read some books. I snapped this picture (below) after he had been with her for about a half an hour reading books. The last few days of their visit, Ezra kissed Grandma Susan goodnight every night! Welcome to the circle of trust, Grandma Susan!

We are so grateful to them. During their visit they put cupboards up in our laundry room, put a floor down in the attic, fixed several windows and repaired a light switch! Some vacation for them!
Isaac helping Grandpa Tom with the cupboards.
But it wasn't all work and no fun. Scott and the boys took Tom down to the river...

Then the day after Thanksgiving we went to the beach for a picnic. It was beautiful! While most of the adults (about 10) played tag football, I took some cute pictures of the boys! Ezra found this stick and loved chasing his brothers around with it.

Elijah and Isaac found some sticks and we made a tent!

Here are all of us eating left- over turkey sandwiches. It was so fun being all together for a second day.

Sadly our very fun week had to come to an end. We took this picture the morning we drove Tom and Susan to the airport. It was so sad to see them go. We love them so much and are blessed to be apart of their lives.
